I am so please to see Darsha Squartsoff became a journalist and she writes so well, a natural poet. I nearly cried when I read her work about the Iditarod sled dogs on the Native News. I really miss the summer of so many years ago that I spent with you all in Ouzinkie. Sometime you do not know that you love a place until you have been away. I can confidently say that I left my heart in your village. My soul yearns for the Spruce Island and to partake the pilgrimage in search of Father Gerasim and Father Herman's abode. July 10, 2013 Name: Ted Panamarioff City: Kodiak Location: Alaska USA	Comment: On behalf of my sisters; Alice Lewis, Susan Panamarioff and myself wish to extend our most sincere and deepest love and appreciation to everyone in our hometown of Ouzinkie who helped our family fulfill our Mother's last wishes to be laid to rest at home next to her parents. It was an increasingly challenging task heavy with emotion and loss that we faced and would not have been able to complete it if several people hadn’t stepped in contacted me about the work that needed to be done in Ouzinkie, their words of encouragement and love.. As many of you know my Mom was my rock and my biggest supporter throughout my life, had it not been for Jim Skonberg Sr. extending his love, care, compassion and guidance I don’t where I’d be today.. I will never be able to Thank him enough for all he’s done to help me and my family in our time of greatest need – Thank You Jimmy! Jim Skonberg Jr; for a million things.. he knew the answers to every question, and like his dad, was always there for us.. Darren Muller; for his selfless time and energy in making the Cross, taking time to meet with my sister and I to see where the grave needed to be dug, then making the arrangements to get a crew together and accomplish the work in just over a day! Darren you will be forever in our hearts ‘specially when we see the cross.. Lorena Skonberg; for taking care of the logistics of the repast; receiving the food and getting volunteers to help cook the meals, Barb Anderson, Gene Anderson, Sonja Delgado, Vickie Delgado, Katherine Panamarioff, Sophia Clarion and I am sure there were many others who helped cook and set up the repast.. these are just the faces I remember seeing.. I will try to get the names of everyone who was involved and personally Thank each and every one of you.. It’s such a Blessing to be able to feel the love at a time when feelings are in an emotional turmoil, I pray that God will return to you all ten-fold what you gave to our family! Joan Chichenoff; All the inter-office coordination, logistical, food orders and for leaving her family in the evening on her daughter’s birthday at home to take care of business because that was the time when I was able to be there.. that’s the kind of people we have working at ONC.. Laura Muller and Caroline Elie; for ordering and shipping flowers for the cross and spray for the casket as there were only a few potted plants in Kodiak at the time of Mom’s passing, We only found out with less than 48 hours before the funeral – Thanks Ladies, you did a wonderful job! I am deeply moved and humbled once again to be a member of the Ouzinkie family, grateful beyond words to be a Shareholder of Ouzinkie Native Corporation, and thankful from the bottom of my heart to every one of you for all the prayers, kind words and deeds that you’ve shared with us during the loss of our mother Ada Panamarioff who was born in Ouzinkie on September 16, 1938
