When I received the phone call that there was going to be a lapture game at Valley of the Moon Park - I told Chaylen, hurry let's get to the park we're going to play lapture, he responded, "what's lapture". I said, "what do you mean what's lapture"! Then just as quick as I responded I realized that Chaylen, Dylan, Myles, and the Griggs boys have not ever played....I felt bad. I spent the weekend in Sitka and got to hang out with Danica and Darsha for a while, it was really good to be with people from home. I went to watch the 2A Regional tournament. My friend's village, Kake, Kake T-Birds won over Yakutat by ONE point! It was a great trip, and an AWESOME game. Kake hasn't taken regions in over a decade, so it was pretty cool to be there for that. (Thank you Mr Vining and Mr Sheehan for keeping my secret.)I did make it to Kodiak for a few days just before Christmas, but unfortunately my flight to Ouzinkie was cancelled due to weather. Then unfortunately, I have also been pretty sick over this holiday break with ear troubles so did not make it out. I was so disappointed, but I do hope to see you all when I return to Alaska in March over spring break!
